As a bioindicator species, a health of the Monarch population can be indicative of larger concerns in our ecosystem. Join local herbalist and Monarch Way Station gardener Hannah Sparks as she demonstrates how to rear monarch caterpillars (from egg to butterfly) and discusses the importance of growing Monarch Way Station gardens. Depending on availability, participants may go home with a monarch to rear at home and milkweed seedlings to get their Monarch Way Station started. To learn more about Hannah's Herbals, visit her website.
