Rainwater Harvesting: What I’ve Learned So Far

As Massachusetts continues to experience droughts and high summer temperatures, join us in this presentation by West Newbury resident Ray Cook on valuable techniques to collect and use rainwater in your yard. Ray will present information on what he has learned and done to collect rainwater and how he uses this water in his gardens. Topics will include water collection, rain barrel sizes, flow rates, pumping systems, and drip irrigation.
Ray has a PhD in Civil Engineering, Materials and Structures, from Cornell University and has taught civil engineering and structural design at both the undergraduate and graduate level at the University of New Hampshire for over thirty years.
